Mary’s free-spirited compositions, expressing a natural balance and harmony, whether of flowers, birds, people or a hectic combination of them all, have an infectious gaiety that would brighten the greyest English day.
Mary’s travels in the Americas have clearly influenced her sense of the possible when it comes to depicting flora and fabric. Her still life’s consist of finds which she has collected from markets in distant lands and nearer to home.
Mary has a distinctive way of bringing out the inner child in all of us.
Mary Hainline is an English artist based in Bramley, Surrey.
It is hard to characterize Mary's work, because it is highly individualistic and shows no obvious dominant influences of schools or styles. It is truly unique.
Apart from painting locally, Mary paints regularly in Totnes with Julia Kelland.
